Issued by: CAT FM Ltd
Financial Year: 2025

1. Commitment

CAT FM Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of its operations and supply chains. We recognise that modern slavery is a serious violation of human rights and can take many forms, including forced labour, servitude, and exploitation. We take a zero-tolerance approach to such practices and are dedicated to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

2. Our Business

CAT FM Ltd provides professional commercial cleaning and security services across the United Kingdom. Our workforce includes directly employed staff and carefully vetted subcontractors. We are committed to ensuring that all individuals working for or on behalf of CAT FM are treated fairly, with dignity, and are free from any form of exploitation.

3. Our Supply Chains and Recruitment

Our supply chains include providers of cleaning materials, security equipment, uniforms, vehicles, and subcontracted labour. We also work with recruitment partners to source staff for cleaning and security roles.

We recognise that the recruitment process can be an area of vulnerability to modern slavery. Therefore, we have established the following controls:

  • Direct recruitment where possible: We aim to recruit our staff directly and only use reputable recruitment agencies that demonstrate compliance with UK employment and immigration law.

  • Right-to-work verification: Every employee and contractor must provide valid identification and right-to-work documentation before employment begins.

  • No recruitment fees: We prohibit charging any form of recruitment or placement fees to candidates, directly or indirectly.

  • Transparent employment terms: All workers receive written contracts that clearly set out pay rates, working hours, and employment conditions.

  • Agency and subcontractor oversight: We require agencies and subcontractors to confirm they have their own modern slavery policies and conduct due diligence on their workforce.

4. Policies and Due Diligence

CAT FM Ltd maintains internal procedures to safeguard against modern slavery, including:

  • A Modern Slavery and Ethical Employment Policy integrated into our HR and procurement systems.

  • Routine audits of recruitment partners and labour providers.

  • Employee training on how to recognise signs of exploitation and how to report concerns.

  • Whistleblowing procedures that allow staff to raise issues in confidence without fear of retaliation.

5. Risk Assessment and Monitoring

Although our industry carries some inherent risks due to the use of temporary and subcontracted labour, we continuously assess and monitor these risks through supplier checks, site audits, and staff feedback. We maintain open communication with our suppliers to ensure high ethical standards throughout our operations.

6. Reporting Concerns

All employees, contractors, and suppliers are encouraged to report any suspicions or evidence of modern slavery or unethical conduct. Concerns can be reported confidentially by emailing info@catfm.co.uk.
Every report is treated seriously and investigated promptly.

7. Continuous Improvement

CAT FM Ltd is committed to ongoing improvement in our prevention measures. We will continue to review our recruitment and procurement practices, provide staff training, and strengthen contractual obligations with our partners to ensure that modern slavery has no place within our business or supply chains.
